Summer 2018 Day Camp will take place in nine sessions on the following dates:

REGISTRATION POLICIES

Ready to enroll your children in a summer of fun-filled activities? Each camp lasts five days spanning Monday through Friday, EXCEPT THE WEEK OF JULY 4. THERE WILL BE NO CAMP ON JULY 4. All camps are for members and member guests only. Early registration is recommended.


2018 Day Camp Programs

High Mountain Kids Camp

Age: 3-4 | Downhill Ski Resort

This exciting, age-appropriate program will continually keep your youngster engaged. Our staff will focus on providing a nurturing environment for your child while helping him or her develop motor skills and social skills. This camp spotlights nature education, outdoor activities, hiking, arts and crafts, creative play and a Wednesday BBQ at the Beach Club Marina. Please note that the activities offered may vary from week to week. Participants must bring a backpack, snack and the essentials listed on the Parent Information page. If signed up for the extended day (12-2:30PM), participants must bring a lunch every day except Wednesday. Every child will receive a BBQ lunch on Wednesdays.

  • Important: Children must be potty trained to attend this camp, and age 3 by the first day of their session. No pull-ups are allowed.
  • Time: Monday-Friday 9AM-12PM (check in 8:30-8:50AM)
  • Where: On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, drop off and pick up are at the Downhill Ski Resort parking lot.
  • Wednesday Beach Day: Every Wednesday, drop off and pick up are at the Beach Club Marina as early as 8:30AM and pick up is at 3:30PM.
  • Cost: Members $194, Guests $219
  • Extended Hours: Campers will play games and do arts and crafts at the Downhill Ski Area (or the Beach Club Marina on Wednesdays) until 2:30PM.
  • Time: 12-2:30PM Monday-Friday
  • Lunch: Participants must bring a lunch every day except Wednesday. Every child will receive a BBQ lunch on Wednesdays.
  • Cost: Member $79, Guest $90

Explorers

Age: 5-6 | Downhill Ski Resort

This camp focuses on nature education, outdoor activities, hiking, outdoor games, arts and crafts, and a Wednesday BBQ at the Beach Club Marina. These are just some of the highlights of what this camp offers, and activities may vary from week to week. Participants must bring a backpack with a hearty lunch, snack, water bottle, sweatshirt and the other essentials listed on the Parent Information page.

  • Time: Monday-Friday 9AM-2:30PM (check in 8:30-8:50AM)
  • Where: On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, drop off and pick up are at the Downhill Ski Resort parking lot..
  • Wednesday Beach Day: Every Wednesday, drop off and pick up are at the Beach Club Marina.
  • Lunch: Participants must bring a lunch every day except Wednesday. Every child will receive a BBQ lunch on Wednesdays.
  • Cost: Member $259, Guest $289

Pioneers

Age: 7-8 | Downhill Ski Area

As your camper grows, so does his or her camp. This year will include adventures such as a water safety class, hiking, outdoor living skills, arts and crafts, outdoor education and a Wednesday BBQ at the Beach Club Marina. Field trips and activities may vary from week to week. Participants must bring a backpack with a hearty lunch, water bottle, sweatshirt and the other essentials listed on the Parent Information page.

  • Time: Monday-Friday 9AM-3PM (check in 8:30-8:50AM)
  • Where: On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, drop off and pick up are at the Downhill Ski Resort parking lot.
  • Wednesday Beach Day: Every Wednesday, drop off and pick up are at the Beach Club Marina.
  • Lunch: Participants must bring a lunch every day except Wednesday. Every child will receive a BBQ lunch on Wednesdays.
  • Cost: Member $229, Guest $254

Club Tahoe Donner

Age: 9-10 | Alder Creek Adventure Center

Campers will enjoy the many outdoor activities offered at this camp. Each day a new excursion will take place, and activities may vary from week to week. Highlights include trips to the beach and pool, outdoor bouldering, hiking in the Sierra, archery, personal water safety classes, outdoor survival skills, water sports and mountain biking. Outdoor games, team building and other favorites will also be included. Participants must bring a backpack with a hearty lunch, water bottle, sweatshirt and the other essentials listed on the Parent Information page.

  • Time: Monday-Friday 9:15AM-3:15PM (check in 8:45AM)
  • Where: On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, pick up and drop off are at Alder Creek Adventure Center.
  • Wednesday Beach Day: Every Wednesday, drop off is as early as 8:30AM and pick up is at 3:15PM.
  • Lunch: Participants must bring a lunch every day except Wednesday. Every child will receive a BBQ lunch on Wednesdays.
  • Cost: Member $239, Guest $264

Donner Lake Adventure Camp

Age: 11-12 | Beach Club Marina

This camp is designed to enhance your camper’s teamwork skills, self confidence and outdoor survival knowledge. Many adventures are offered from week to week, and may include swimming, hiking in the Sierra, team building activities, summit rock climbing, arts and crafts, water sports lessons, junior lifeguard lessons, biking, golf, archery and a Wednesday BBQ at the Beach Club Marina. Participants must bring a backpack with a hearty lunch, water bottle, sweatshirt and the other essentials listed on the Parent Information page.

  • Time: Monday-Friday 9:30AM-3:45PM (check in 9AM)
  • Where: Drop off and pick up are at the Clubhouse located at the exit gate in the Beach Club Marina parking lot.
  • Wednesday Beach Day: Every Wednesday, drop off is as early as 8:30AM and pick up is at 3:30PM.
  • Lunch: Participants must bring a lunch every day except Wednesday. Every child will receive a BBQ lunch on Wednesdays.
  • Cost: Member $259, Guest $284

Leadership Training Camp

Age: 13-14 | Beach Club Marina

Leadership Training Camp is an intensive 5-day program in which your camper will experience all that leadership training has to offer. This is an experiential-based learning program in which the campers will participate in in-depth team-building, leadership development, outdoor living skills, hands-on camp counselor experience and personal growth. Participants must bring a hearty lunch, and the essentials listed under things to bring to camp, and must be willing to participate in daily camp activities.

  • Sessions: 2, 4 & 6
  • Time: Monday & Friday 9:00AM-4PM, Tuesday-Thursday 8:30AM-3:30PM
  • Where: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, drop off and pick up are at the Clubhouse located at the exit gate in the Beach Club Marina parking lot. Tuesdays and Thursdays, drop off will be at the Downhill Ski Resort parking lot. Please pay special attention to your camper's schedule for specific details.
  • Cost: Member $244, Guest $269

Please note that times and activities are approximate and may change depending on availability, weather and scheduling constraints. Refunds will not be given due to scheduling conflicts, changes or weather.


AGE REQUIREMENTS

IMPORTANT: Please take careful note of the age requirements for each camp program, and make sure that your child is eligible to attend that program. Age requirements are established for the safety and well-being of your child. If a child is found to be registered in a program for which he/she is not eligible, his/her registration will be cancelled and no refund will be given. There will be no exceptions with children’s ages for camp. All children must be potty trained to attend any camp. Children in pull-ups will not be allowed to attend camp.


CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES AND REFUNDS

All cancellations and/or changes must be made 14 days prior to the first day of the session for which you have registered, and a processing fee of $15 will be charged. No changes will be made or refunds given less than 14 days prior to the first day of the session for which you have registered.

  • SICK CHILD POLICY: Sick children should be kept home for the safety and well-being of all camp participants and staff. Camp fees will be refunded on a prorated schedule based on the number of days attended or number of days the camp spot is held for a sick child hoping to return. Refunds may be given based on the ability to fill a spot if notice is given 24 hours in advance of the start of the camp session.
  • DROP-INS: All Tahoe Donner Day Camp programs are five-day sessions. Daily drop-ins are not permitted. You may choose to have your child attend partial weeks, but full camp registration will be due. Drop-ins are welcome for our Adventure Day Programs as space permits.
