If you’re looking for fun and rewarding seasonal work this winter, don’t settle for anything less than the best. Named 2018’s “Best Place to Work” by the Sierra Sun and local community, Tahoe Donner has a wide range of full-time and part-time positions available at multiple amenities, including the Downhill Ski Resort, Cross Country Ski Center and several Tahoe Donner restaurants.

All are welcome to work at Tahoe Donner, from college and high school students, to stay-at-home parents, to those who’ve had a successful career and just want a social, low-stress way to supplement their income. Every position brings unique opportunities and possibilities, plus the convenience, great people and unmatched perks that set Tahoe Donner apart.

We asked our employees why they work at Tahoe Donner. Their answers, in their own words, are below.


The Lodge where I work is a great restaurant with high quality food that I’m excited and proud to serve. As a sever that is something that is very important to me. The Tahoe Donner amenities that we get as employees, such as the Trout Creek gym, are also something I’m very grateful to have to my disposal.

I recently completed a graduate degree in forestry, so I’m grateful to be working in my field here in Truckee. Moreover, working with the folks in the Forestry Department at Tahoe Donner has allowed me to strengthen my professional skills, while also giving me a significant role in TD’s efforts towards fire prevention and ecological stability.

My co-workers are truly the greatest perk of working at TD; I’ve been fortunate to learn from these accomplished professionals, and I’ve had a great time while doing so.

Originally it was to experience working on the lake. Now that I have actually worked a season, the employees and the members have made this summer such an experience that I want to stay as long as possible. The amenities are wonderful and the respect you get from everyone in each level of the organization is wonderful.

First it was to send our boys to Nordic Junior Nationals. Now it is to help pay for their college tuition.

I work at Tahoe Donner because of the respect and recognition I receive from the organization and the community we serve. My favorite perk of this job would have to be amenity privileges. It’s nice to have a long day of skiing the secret powder stash that is Tahoe Donner Downhill, then winding down with a couple friends in the Trout Creek hot tubs.
