Equestrian Horsemanship Camps

Signups for 2016 horsemanship camps will take place in March of 2016. Please watch your emails or check back to this page for news of 2016 camps in early winter.

Our equestrian day camps are for ages 8 to 14. These are half-day, week-long riding camps for groups of four students with a two-to-one student/teacher ratio.

Each student has his or her own horse for the week. Students will learn the fundamentals of horsemanship, safety and riding skills. Grooming, tacking, arena work, trail riding, bathing and a horse show on Friday are all part of the curriculum. All camps are open levels for beginner through intermediate riders.

Morning and afternoon sessions are offered each week. The morning session is from 9 a.m to 12 p.m and the afternoon session is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Camps typically begin in late June and take place weekly through late August.

2015 COST: Members $499, Non-members $599; please check back for 2016 dates and costs.

Visitor Information

Proper attire
All visitors should wear long pants and close-toed shoes. We do not permit sandals, Tevas or flip-flops on the grounds. Wear sensible clothing that you won’t mind getting a little dusty. Tennis shoes are acceptable for trail and pony rides. We don’t recommend hiking boots because they tend to get caught in the stirrups. Sunscreen and mosquito repellent are recommended and can be purchased in our souvenir shop.

Helmets are mandatory for all riders under the age of 18 and are strongly recommended for those 18 and older. Helmets are provided free of charge. Riders may bring their own certified riding helmet if they wish.

Bits and Pieces Souvenirs
Open seven days a week our souvenir shop carries Breyer model horse toys, tee-shirts, hats, sweat shirts, sunscreen, insect repellent, water bottles and an assortment of basic horse accessories.
