Fourth of July Fun in Tahoe Donner and Truckee
Whether you’re in Tahoe Donner or exploring the Truckee community and Donner Lake this Fourth of July, there is much to do this Independence Day! Celebrate the holiday starting this week with one or more of the following events.
TAHOE DONNER COMMUNITY EVENTS & ACTIVITIES
Free Shuttle to Truckee Thursdays, July 29
Time: Runs 4:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.
Free Shuttles for Truckee Thursdays are back. Leave your car in Tahoe Donner at catch a round trip to and from downtown Truckee.
Cowgirls & Cocktails, June 30
Time: The trail ride is 5 to 6 p.m. followed by drinks and appetizers 6 to 7 p.m.
Cowgirls and cowboys are invited to gather for an early evening trail ride through highland meadows and forests followed by beer, wine and appetizers at Alder Creek Adventure Center overlooking the meadow. It’s a great way to kick off the holiday weekend.

Pickleball Grand Reopening at Tahoe Donner Tennis Club, July 1
Time: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
We have reconfigured our pickleball courts to offer a more spacious environment to play in. This free day of pickleball is a great way to meet some other enthusiasts, try out some new equipment or get a quick workout playing one of the fastest growing sports in the US. This is a FREE Event. No sign up required. (Available for Tahoe Donner members and guests only)
Margarita Madness Pro Tennis Exhibition, July 1
Time: 3–5 p.m.
Sit back, relax and watch the pros go to work as they battle it out on the court for your viewing pleasure. This year we bring some top-notch talent to entertain and show us how it is really done. Sponsored by the Tennis Club; free event. (Available for Tahoe Donner members and guests only)
Summer Concert on the Green, July 1–2
Time: Doors 5 p.m. Concert 6 p.m.
Two evenings of nostalgic rock’n roll under the stunning high Sierra sky. Our tree-lined driving range has a gentle slope, so bring the whole gang and prepare for a rockin’ and nostalgic evening under the stars. Food and drink will be available on-site to purchase from local Truckee vendors Morgans Lobster Shack, Starkey's Stoked Pizza & Epic Sushi, and Super Swirl! Or, bring your own picnic. Low back chairs only, please. Tickets are still available for Sunday, July 2. Saturday’s concert is SOLD OUT.
FOURTH OF JULY ACTIVITIES AROUND TRUCKEE
Beach Club Marina Fun with Fireworks
Where: Beach Club Marina at Donner Lake
Time: All day beginning at 7 a.m.
FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE: Tahoe Donner will be providing FREE shuttle service to the beach from the Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area parking lots starting at noon until everyone has departed after the fireworks. Please park in designated areas and follow signage for pick up and drop off. The shuttles will be making continuous loops throughout the day.
West End Beach Party with Fireworks
Where: West end of Donner Lake
Time: All day event beginning at 9 a.m.
Beach party exclusive to TDRPD residents and homeowners. Play games, listen to music and watch the fireworks at night.
Truckee 4th of July Parade
Where: Downtown Truckee – Donner Pass Road
Time: 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
Keep your eyes peeled for the Tahoe Donner float and help cheer us on to victory! There is FREE shuttle service offered from a variety of locations in Truckee, including Tahoe Donner. See the shuttle schedule.

July 4 Run to the Beach
Where: North Tahoe Regional Park
Time: 8-10 a.m.
Celebrate your independence with a 5K or 10K fun run or walk!
Cakes on the Lake
Where: North Tahoe Event Center
Time: 8-10:30 a.m.
Enjoy a pancake breakfast and benefit the Boys and Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe.

Truckee Fire 4th of July Pancake Breakfast
Where: Station 92 – 11473 Donner Pass Road, Truckee, CA
Time: 7–10 a.m.
Start your day by having breakfast with firefighters and benefit the Truckee Firefighters' Charitable Fund.
Firecracker Mile Fun Run
Where: Race starts on Donner Pass Road at U.S. Bank and finishes at Truckee’s train station in Downtown Truckee.
Time: 9:45 a.m.
Support the Auburn Ski Club with this patriotic run.
