The Lodge Restaurant & Pub is Tahoe Donner’s gathering place for delicious bistro-style dining and friendly pub gatherings in a classic mountain atmosphere. It’s a location for special events, weddings, meetings and banquets that holds warm memories for members and their families.

A GPC subcommittee will be established to create an amenity master plan that provides long-term guidance for member use, management, maintenance and funding. This will incorporate input from members gathered directly, from surveys and other input activities.

The amenity master plan will provide general guidelines for the long term that allows for detailed planning year to year. It will be updated periodically in order to remain current with the needs of the membership, accommodate changes in use, and to allow for adaptive management.

Currently, a leader and member volunteers are being recruited for this subcommittee. Membership on the GPC is not required – all members are welcome to participate. If you are interested in The Lodge, and want to help plan its future, please let us know by emailing generalplan@tahoedonner.com

  • Background

The Lodge that we know today has evolved from a simple restaurant and bar that primarily served golfers. Over time, food and beverage offerings, special events and catering for weddings, meetings and banquets expanded the services offered to members and the public. A few years ago, the old deck was transformed into an enclosed porch with a roof and perimeter walls, and is equipped with operable windows and a fireplace for comfortable year‐round operations.

Located at the Golf Course, The Lodge is impacted by parking, traffic and circulation issues during peak periods when parking can be difficult. The event tent located behind the building was recently replaced with a lower-profile version for less interference with the view from the dining room.
