Trails Master Plan Meetings

Alta Design + Planning and Management are continuing work on the Trails Master Plan validation project. In September management and Alta’s staff held an initial membership input meeting to kick off the validation process and hit key topics of concern or comment from those members attending. Over the last month Alta has met with members including Friends of the Trails chairman, Benjamin Levine; Steve Miller, board of director, Ralph Johnson, general plan committee member, etc., as well as association staff to review the trails first hand and gather additional feedback. Topics of interest included trail wayfinding signage, trail standards, new trails in newly purchased properties and trails of concern. The project team will be holding several additional membership meetings in addition to a formal presentation to the board of directors in November. We are excited to work with the membership to provide a trail system that is driven by their wants and needs. This is your chance to provide any further feedback on the trails prior to finalization of the Trails Master Plam. If you are interested in learning more or providing feedback we encourage you to attend the upcoming meetings, the schedule is as follows:

Membership Trails Master Plan Meeting – Friday, October 26, at The Lodge from 6 – 7:30 p.m.
This meeting will focus discussion on the overarching draft recommendations from Alta Design + Planning, draft trails map, trail naming and signage, and preferred loops and uses of trails. A copy of the minutes from the previous meeting will be available online the week of this meeting.

Board of Directors Meeting  – Saturday, November 17
Alta Design + Planning will provided formal presentation to the board of directors of draft Trails Master Plan and its elements. Discussion will take place on recommendations. A copy of the newly drafted Trails Master Plan and associated documents will be available online prior to the board meeting for membership review and further comments.

Membership Trails Master Plan Meeting – Friday, December 7; Northwoods Clubhouse Meeting Room, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
This meeting will review the final Trails Master Plan after board of director review and comments and will also focus discussions on the draft project list and prioritization.
