Tennis Phone Reservation System

Hello Tahoe Donner Tennis Players,

I am excited to introduce our new reservation system for courts this summer at Tahoe Donner Tennis. We are now offering a phone in option starting for Tahoe Donner homeowners at 7 a.m. for the following days play. Guest and ball machine reservations for the following days play can be made starting at 12 p.m. Synchronize your watches and call (530) 587-9474 and choose Option #2 to reserve your tennis court. Here are some of the highlights and restrictions.

  1. Calls must be received starting at 7 a.m. to be eligible for bookings.
  2. Any calls that fall prior to the 7 a.m. time cut off will be put to the back of the list.
  3. Please state clearly what time you would like to start play and the length of time that you want to play.
  4. Please state clearly all of the players that will be playing with you as this can help to avoid double bookings.
  5. Please state clearly a call back number.
  6. Please designate only one person in your group to be the call in person to again help avoid double bookings.
  7. 2 Hour Blocks are only available in the mornings from 8 – 10 a.m. and 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  8. 2 Hour Blocks are not available in the morning from 9 – 11 a.m. for any reason.
  9. 2 Hour Blocks in the afternoon can be made starting at any time but must begin on the hour.

10. 90 Minute Blocks are only available in the mornings and the start times are – 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and these are not eligible for back to back bookings for any reason.

11. If we are unable to fulfill your request we will call you to discuss other booking options that are available.

12. If we do not return your call then your request was fulfilled.

If you have any questions please feel free to call (530) 587-9474 and ask for Laurie or Ian and the above program is currently in place and the restrictions for court bookings will be upheld from Memorial Weekend until Labor Day Weekend.

Thank you for all of your support, feedback and we hope this new streamlined program will help all of you to have a more enjoyable summer of tennis at Tahoe Donner Tennis.

See you on the courts,

Solar Panel Information

We would like to remind all Tahoe Donner homeowners who are looking into adding solar panels about the rules.  The solar panels we are seeing come in two forms, laying flat against the roof or siding and solar panels placed on high mounted steel racking systems and metal pans. If the solar panels you are looking to purchase have the high mounted racking system, please remember that the racking steel/metal system must be painted to match the adjacent material (roof or siding) along with any conduit added. No shiny metal is allowed.

A Neighbor Notification conducted by our office is required prior to review & approval. Also, you must have a permit through our office to add solar panels, which can be done over the counter Monday through Friday. The applications will be reviewed by one member of the Architectural Standards Committee every Wednesday. This type of permit is only good for 6 months. You can view the Solar Panels Change to Existing Structure Application for more information.

Golf Course is Open

Every spring, our challenge is getting golfers out on the course as early as possible without damaging the course and affecting it for the rest of the season. There’s a reason Tahoe Donner is known for having the best greens in Tahoe, and sometimes that means giving a little more time for the grass to grow.

Striking that balance between access and course quality, we’ve decided to open half of the course on May 25. That’s the first time the course has been open for the Memorial Day weekend since 2009 and four weeks earlier than last year. While several holes will be off limits for a bit longer, you’ll still be able to play a full round of golf. Here’s the plan:

May 25 – 29
Nine holes available for play (1, 3, 5, 6, 12, 13, 15, 16 and 18). Two daily shotgun starts, scheduled at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Golfers will have the option to play either nine or 18 holes.

May 30
Regular tee times available, with the same holes open for play.

May 31
The same holes will be available. 8 a.m. shotgun start for Women’s Golf Club and 12 p.m. shotgun start for open play.

In early June, we expect to have more holes open and transition quickly into normal operations.

During this early season period, special pricing and perks are available. All following prices include greens fees, cart, and choice of range token or beer / soft drink

Tahoe Donner homeowners and guests:

Morning 18 holes – $40
Morning 9 holes - $25
Afternoon 18 holes -  $30
Afternoon 9 holes – $25

General public:

18 holes – $43
9 holes – $30
Same price regardless of tee time

Driving range

The driving range is currently open every day, from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

We are excited to open the course early this year, and hope you can take advantage of it! Please keep an eye on for more updates. If you have any questions, drop us a note at or call (530) 587-9443.
