Golf Course is Open

Every spring, our challenge is getting golfers out on the course as early as possible without damaging the course and affecting it for the rest of the season. There’s a reason Tahoe Donner is known for having the best greens in Tahoe, and sometimes that means giving a little more time for the grass to grow.

Striking that balance between access and course quality, we’ve decided to open half of the course on May 25. That’s the first time the course has been open for the Memorial Day weekend since 2009 and four weeks earlier than last year. While several holes will be off limits for a bit longer, you’ll still be able to play a full round of golf. Here’s the plan:

May 25 – 29
Nine holes available for play (1, 3, 5, 6, 12, 13, 15, 16 and 18). Two daily shotgun starts, scheduled at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Golfers will have the option to play either nine or 18 holes.

May 30
Regular tee times available, with the same holes open for play.

May 31
The same holes will be available. 8 a.m. shotgun start for Women’s Golf Club and 12 p.m. shotgun start for open play.

In early June, we expect to have more holes open and transition quickly into normal operations.

Pricing
During this early season period, special pricing and perks are available. All following prices include greens fees, cart, and choice of range token or beer / soft drink

Tahoe Donner homeowners and guests:

Morning 18 holes – $40
Morning 9 holes - $25
Afternoon 18 holes -  $30
Afternoon 9 holes – $25

General public:

18 holes – $43
9 holes – $30
Same price regardless of tee time

Driving range

The driving range is currently open every day, from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

We are excited to open the course early this year, and hope you can take advantage of it! Please keep an eye on tahoedonner.com for more updates. If you have any questions, drop us a note at golf@tahoedonner.com or call (530) 587-9443.

Golf Season Passes on Sale

Tahoe Donner Golf Course season passes are on sale now, with pre-season discounts available through April 30. Sure, there’s still snow on the ground, but that will be gone before you know it – and this year looks good for a much earlier start to the golf season than last year.

A variety of packs and passes are on the menu, depending on your budget and how often you like to play. This year, golfers who are not homeowners at Tahoe Donner can purchase an unlimited or five day pass, in addition to the previously available weekday afternoon pass. As always, members may book tee times up to 14 days in advance, while public golfers may book up to 12 days in advance.

Also new this year is a Four Pack which can be used all at once for a foursome, or on four individual rounds on different days. The Four Pack costs just $316 (that’s $79 a round including cart!) and may be used any time before June 29 and after September 3. Would you or a friend like an affordable way to learn the game of golf? Check out “Get Golf Ready,” five group lessons for just $99.

April 30 is the deadline for all these great rates. Buy online now.

Tahoe Donner has special rates for groups of 12 or more, including options for tournaments and banquet dining. See what we can do for your event.
