Located at the Alder Creek Adventure Center, Tahoe Donner Equestrian is the perfect place to visit for those who want to get in touch with their western sides. Our experienced wranglers and trail-wise horses will take you on a ride through high mountain forests and upland meadows or down into the lush Euer Valley full of wild flowers and mountain streams. Along the way, you’re likely to see wildlife too. Tahoe Donner Equestrian offers guided horseback rides, private lessons and tours, kids horsemanship camps, pony rides for tykes and various family and adult events throughout the season.
Your child will learn the fundamentals of horsemanship, safety and riding skills in our equestrian day camps. Designed for children ages 8 to 14, these half-day, week-long riding camps are for groups of four students with a two-to-one student/teacher ratio. Learn more.
Cowgirls and cowboys are invited to gather for an early evening trail ride followed by beer, wine and appetizers. Enjoy a guided meandering trail ride through highland meadows and forests and then relax afterward, nibble on appetizers and sip a frosty beer or glass of wine. It’s a great way to kick off the holiday weekend. Call to make reservations 530-587-9470.
