 Features

· The Beach Club Marina is equipped with a snack bar. Hours of
operation are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily. On the menu are salads,
hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken,
peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, french fries, nachos,
ice cream, drinks, and much more. Beer and wine are not
available at the Beach Club Marina.

· Enjoy your meal on the large deck overlooking beautiful
Donner Lake.

· The retail and rental office provide a quicker and more pleasurable experience. Don't bother driving to town for film, sunglasses, or sunscreen – it's all available at the Beach Club Marina. We also have canoes, pedalboats, kayaks (one and two-man), stand-up paddle boards, windsurfers, and catamaran sailboats for rent.

· Boat launch ramp (members only)

· Sandy beach on Donner Lake

· Roped-off swimming area with platform where no boats are allowed

Weekly Events

Historical Kayak Tours
Tuesday and Wednesday mornings June 24 through August 20 (excluding Fourth of July week). Included in the rental fee will be a guided tour of parts of Donner Lake with information on its history and interesting facts about the surrounding area. After the one hour tour, breakfast will be served on the deck. Rentals will be $15 for members and $18 for guests. Meet at the Beach Club Marina at 8 a.m. Access fee applies.
Junior Sailing Program
The Junior Sailing Program is designed for beginner to intermediate sailors, ages 9 - 16. Each three day session includes three hours of instruction with the majority of the time on the water. Classes are limited to five students to ensure plenty of indivdual attention so be sure to make your reservations early. Session times are from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Wednesday – Friday. The first session begins on Wednesday, June 18; sessions run weekly through August 13. There will be no Junior Sailing Program during the week of July 2 – 4.
Windsurfing Clinics
Want to learn to windsurf this summer? Every Thursday starting on Thursday, June 26 through Thursday, August 14 from 3 – 4 p.m. a windsurfing instructor will provide a clinic for a group of up to 8 people at the Beach Club Marina. The cost is $10 per person. Adults and children ages 6 and older are welcome. The clinics will be held weather permitting. Please call the Beach Club Marina to reserve your spot.
Water Kids Club
New to the weekly lineup this year is the Water Kids Club. Starting June 26 this club will meet every Thursday through August 14 from 4 – 6 p.m. (there will be no club on Thursday, July 3). This club will introduce kids to a variety of water oriented activities such as swimming challenges, windsurfing, stand up paddling, sailing, kayaking, and more. Children ages 6 and older with good swimming skills are welcome to join. The cost is $75 for the summer – amenity entry fees will apply.
Special Events

Fun for the Kids
On Thursday, July 31, from 1 – 3 p.m., the Beach Club Marina will be hosting our annual Crawdad Fishing Contest. Prizes will be awarded for the largest, smallest, and those who catch the most crawdads. This is a catch and release contest so crawdads will not be harmed during this event.

On Thursday, August 21 bring your bucket and space and get to work on your sandcastle as this is the date of our annual Sandcastle Building Contest. The contest starts at 1 p.m. with judging to take place at 3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories: ages up to 6 years old, ages 7 - 12, and ages 13 and over. Contestants will fall into the age category according to the oldest participant involved in the construction process.
Demo Days
Are you looking to purchase a new kayak? Or maybe you just want to check out the latest kayaks available. On Saturday, June 14 at 10 a.m., Tahoe City Kayak will be bringing Hobie and Eddyline Kayaks to the Beach Club Marina for a Demo Day.

A second Demo Day with The Sports Exchange will take place in Saturday, July 12 at 9 a.m. and will feature kayaks from Malibu, Cobra, Dagger, and Perception.
Beach Blanket Bingo
On Saturday, July 19, head down to the Beach Club Marina for our first annual Beach Blanket Bingo event. This event is sure to be fun for the whole family. Bingo will begin at 5 p.m. and will continue until 7 p.m. The event will be a fundraiser for the Tahoe Donner Employee Scholarship Fund, so donations for bingo cards are gladly accepted. Normal Beach Club Marina entry fees will apply. Bring your appetite as the snack bar will remain open during bingo serving wine and beer as well.
Luau
After a five year hiatus, this favorite family event is back! Get out your grass skirt and be prepared to limbo on Saturday, August 9, as we transform our beach into a tropical paradise. A Hawaiian themed band with traditional Hawaiian dancers will be performing for your enjoyment. A Hawaiian dinner is included and tropical drinks will be avaialble for purchase. Advance ticket purchase is recommended. Call the Beach Club Marina for more information. Please note – the Beach Club Marina will close at 4 p.m. and reopen at 5 p.m. for the festivities.
Treasure Hunt
Ahoy Mateys! Join us for this new event. Grab you pirate hat and the kids and head on down to the Beach Club Marina on Sunday, June 29. Registered teams will receive a map to various clues that will eventually lead to the booty. The quest for the loot will begin at noon – savvy. Aye, see you there scallywags.
