Located on the east end of Donner Lake is the Tahoe Donner Beach Club Marina. Whether you just want to relax on the sandy beach with a beautiful view of the lake or explore the water by swimming, windsurfing or sailing, the Beach Club Marina provides something for everyone. Enjoy Donner Lake on a private beach and so much more.

Rental hours are 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily, weather permitting. All rentals must be returned by 6 p.m. After Labor Day rental hours are from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and rentals must be returned by
5 p.m.

· The Beach Club Marina is equipped with a snack bar. Hours of
operation are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily. Our menu provides burgers, panini sandwiches, hot dogs, veggie burgers, salads, ice cream, snow cones, and an assortment of other tasty snack items. The grill does not sell alcohol.

· Enjoy your meal on the large deck overlooking beautiful
Donner Lake.

· The retail and rental office provide a quicker and more pleasurable experience. Don't bother driving to town for film, sunglasses, or sunscreen – it's all available at the Beach Club Marina. We also have canoes, pedal boats, kayaks (one and two-man), stand up paddle boards, windsurfers, and catamaran sailboats for rent.

· Boat launch ramp (members only)

· Sandy beach on Donner Lake

· Roped-off swimming area with platform where no boats are allowed

Weekly Events

Historical Kayak Tours
Join us on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings for a guided tour of the east end of Donner Lake. Your guide will present information on the history of the lake and interesting facts about the surrounding area and its inhabitants. After about an hour on the water, the tour will return to the Beach Club Marina where breakfast will be served on the deck. Tours will begin at 8 a.m. starting Tuesday, June 23 and the last tour will be held on Wednesday, August 19. Tours will not be offered on Wednesday, July 1. Please call and make a reservation to enjoy the history of the area from a unique perspective. Private tours are available for parties of 4 or more when scheduled at least a week in advance. Amenity entrance fees will apply. Cost: Members $15, Guests $18.
Junior Sailing Program
The Junior Sailing Program is designed for beginner to intermediate sailors, ages 9 - 16. Each three-day session includes three hours of instruction with the majority of the time on the water. Classes are limited to eight students to ensure plenty of individual attention so be sure to make your reservations early. Session times are from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Wednesday – Friday. The first session begins on Wednesday, June 17; sessions run weekly through Friday, August 14. There will be no Junior Sailing Program during the week of July 1 –3. Cost: Members $125, Guests $150.
Water Kids Club
The popular Water Kids Club will meet every Thursday from 4 – 6 p.m. starting June 25 – August 13. This club will introduce participants to a variety of water-oriented activities such as swimming challenges, windsurfing, stand up paddling, sailing, kayaking, and more. Children ages 6 and older with good swimming skills are welcome to join. The cost is $75 for the summer. Amenity entrance fees apply.
Windsurfing Clinics
Want to learn to windsurf this summer? Every Friday starting on Friday, June 26 through Friday, August 14 from 3 – 4 p.m. a windsurfing instructor will provide a clinic for a group of up to 8 people at the Beach Club Marina. The cost is $10 per person. Adults and children ages 6 and older are welcome. The clinics will be held weather permitting. Please call the Beach Club Marina for reservations. Amenity entrance fees apply.
Special Events

Treasure Hunt
Ahoy Mateys! Grab you pirate hat and the kids and head on down to the Beach Club Marina on Sunday, June 28 for a Treasure Hunt. Registered teams will receive a map to various clues that will eventually lead to the booty. The quest for the loot will begin at noon – savvy. Aye, see you there scallywags. Free event.
Demo Days
Are you looking to purchase a new kayak? Or maybe you just want to check out the latest kayaks available. On Saturday, July 11 at 9 a.m., The Sports Exchange will host a demo day featuring kayaks from Malibu, Cobra, Dagger and Perception.

A second Demo Day with Tahoe City Kayak will take place in Saturday, August 8 at 10 a.m. and will feature kayaks from Hobie and Eddyline.
Beach Blanket Bingo
On Saturday, July 18, head down to the Beach Club Marina for our second annual Beach Blanket Bingo event. This event is sure to be fun for the whole family. Bingo will begin at 5 p.m. and will continue until all prizes are awarded. The event will be a fundraiser for the Tahoe Donner Employee Scholarship Fund, so donations for bingo cards are gladly accepted. Normal Beach Club Marina entrance fees apply. Bring your appetite as the snack bar will remain open during bingo.
Fun for the Kids
On Thursday, July 30, from 1 – 3 p.m., the Beach Club Marina will be hosting our annual Crawdad Fishing Contest. Prizes will be awarded for the largest, smallest, and those who catch the most crawdads. This is a catch and release contest so crawdads will not be harmed during this event. Free event.

Bring your bucket and spade down to the Beach Club Marina on Thursday, August 13 for our annual Sandcastle Building Contest. The contest starts at 1 p.m. and judging will take place at 3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories: ages up to 6 years old, ages 7-12, and ages 13 and over. Contestants will fall into the age category according to the oldest participant involved in the construction process. Free event.
Luau
Get out your grass skirt and be prepared to limbo on Saturday, August 8, as we transform the Beach Club Marina into a tropical paradise. A Hawaiian-themed band with traditional Hawaiian dancers will be performing for your enjoyment. A Hawaiian dinner is included and tropical drinks will be available for purchase. Advance ticket purchases are recommended. Call the Beach Club Marina for more information. Please note the Beach Club Marina will close at 4 p.m. and reopen at 5 p.m. for the festivities. Cost: Adult (13+) $30, Child (7-12) $15, Child (4-6) $8, Child (3 & under) free.
