All kids aged 4 – 9 years old are invited to join us for the first Friday of every month from 5 – 9 p.m. for an evening of games, activities, dinner, a movie and a bedtime story. Parent, enjoy a few hours to yourselves while our trained staff provides a fun and safe environment for you little ones at Northwoods Clubhouse. Cost is $15 per child and includes a pizza dinner. Full Moon Snowshoe Tour: Snowshoe by the light of the moon. If you have never experienced snowshoeing at night, you won't want to miss this unforgettable experience. Join us for a guided snowshoe tour under the light of a full moon. Dates: Thursday, December 31 (New Year's Eve Celebration Snowshoe), 5 – 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, January 30, 6 – 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, February 27, 6 – 8:30 p.m.; Sunday, March 28, 9 – 11:30 p.m.
Starlight Snowshoe Tour: Bask under the starry night sky on our guided starlight snowshoe tour. Get away from the city lights and learn about the constellations, watch shooting stars and discover peaceful sounds of nature on a snowy night. Dates: Friday, December 18, 5:30 – 8 p.m.; Saturday, March 13, 8 – 10:30 p.m.
Sunset Snowshoe Tour: We will snowshoe out to our destination by day, enjoy a beautiful Sierra Nevada mountain sunset and trek back to our starting point under a starlit sky. The beauty of the changing dusk sky is not to be missed. Dates: Friday, January 15, 3 – 5:30 p.m.; Sunday, February 14 (Couples Valentine Snowshoe), 4:30 – 7 p.m.
Cost: $7.50; Does not include snowshoe rental fee. Register at Trout Creek Recreation Center or by calling (530) 587-9437. Bring your own snowshoes. Hot chocolate will be provided as part of each snowshoe tour.
