Hatha yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga in America. It is the branch of yoga which concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation (dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. There are nearly 200 hatha yoga postures, with hundreds of variations, which work to make the spine supple and to promote circulation in all the organs, glands, and tissues. Hatha yoga postures also stretch and align the body, promoting balance and flexibility.
TRX® Suspension Training® is a revolutionary total-body fitness program that uses gravity against the individual’s own body weight to simultaneously develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability. The TRX® device is attached to an anchor point. Each participant then grabs the handles with their hands or attaches their feet in the foot cradles. One simply changes the angle of their body from the ground for the different exercises. Having the ability to change the body’s angle allows one to work with more or less body weight which can intensify or modify a specific exercise. Additional exercises will be inserted into the classes in between rounds of TRX® sets. These added exercises add to core strength and cardiovascular endurance.
Taiji (Tai Chi) is one of the major internal styles contained in Wushu. It was originally created as a martial art and the movements of Taiji contain martial applications. It utilizes the ancient philosophy of Yin-Yang and the Five Element theories for its foundation and to establish its training principles. The experience of hundreds of years has shown that practicing Taiji can improve ones health, reduce tension, and cure a number of diseases such as high blood pressure, arthritis, asthma, stomach ailments, heart problems and nervousness. The same techniques that were capable of developing internal Qi for martial arts combat, also proved to be effective as life prolonging, healing, and rejuvenating exercises. Today, Taiji is best known by the millions of participants around the world for its health benefits.
Bulletproof Training is a comprehensive strength and conditioning program designed to maximize the human body’s movement and performance potential. By establishing a movement baseline, we are able to design a program that addresses the individuals’ specific limitations that could be robbing them of performance and/or causing pain. We firmly believe that layering fitness on top of dysfunction only creates more dysfunction (and leads to pain!). By restoring fundamental movement back the athletes body, we then have a wide and solid platform to build our fitness and performance upon.
Bulletproof Tennis is designed with the athletes’ on-court performance in mind. By restoring fundamental movement quality to the athlete, not only does this improve performance measures like swing power, agility and acceleration, but will also increase the efficiency of the athlete thereby improving endurance. Another benefit of having a strong and mobile body is increased adaptability to training. Now you can reap the whole benefit of those grueling training sessions instead of being wrecked from your body fighting its way through limitation and compensation. Having gone through the Bulletproof program, you will feel better, move better and perform better!
