Name: Emily Prescott
Hometown: Sausalito, California
What brought her to TD: I have grown up coming to the the beautiful Tahoe area since I was a young girl for the skiing in winter and the lake in the summer. Tahoe is one of my favorite places and I consider it my second home. I can’t wait to teach tennis in such a beautiful place.
Favorite thing to do in TD: My favorite thing to do in Tahoe Donner is play tennis! When I am not on the court, I love being by the lake and meeting new people who also enjoy the Tahoe Donner area and all the fun things around.
Background: I was raised in Marin County where I grew up playing tennis since the age of 5. I played many junior tournaments all across Northern California as well as for Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California. I went on to play college tennis at San Jose State University and then transferred to finish my last two years of collegiate tennis at Dominican University of California where I was named Newcomer of the Year and Most Outstanding Player. After being coached under two of my favorite coaches at Dominican, Alex Poorta (Assistant Womens Coach St. Marys College) and Molly Aloia (Head Coach Dominican University of California), my passion for tennis ignited. I realized that I wanted to continue my tennis career as a college coach and am now the Assistant Womens Tennis Coach at Dominican. I also enjoy teaching all levels of tennis from red ball to high performance. I look forward to spending the summer in Tahoe on the Tahoe Donner tennis courts!
