What is Tahoe Donner?

We’re a vibrant community with a passion for outdoor recreation and a celebration of the Tahoe lifestyle. Located 25 minutes from Lake Tahoe in Truckee, California, Tahoe Donner is one of north America’s largest homeowner’s associations, with nearly 6,500 properties and 25,000 members enjoying over 7,300 acres in the Sierra Nevada.

Tahoe Donner operates a wide variety of year-round recreational facilities open to the public, including an 18-hole championship golf course, the Tahoe Donner’s Equestrian Center, bike rental facility, and the Tahoe Donner Campground. Tahoe Donner’s extensive trail network includes over 60 miles of trails and fire service roads for biking and hiking across 3,474 acres of wild and scenic terrain.

Home to one of America’s premier Nordic skiing facilities, Tahoe Donner’s Cross Country Ski Area provides over 50 trails and 100km of terrain for all abilities. The spectacular new Alder Creek Adventure Center offers state-of-the-art rental services, wax rooms and locker rooms, delicious food and beverage service, and expanded indoor and outdoor seating with fire pits. Known as the “Best Place to Begin,” the Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area provides a relaxed, family-friendly environment with expertly groomed terrain and wide open bowls. Families also enjoy sledding and tubing at the Snowplay recreation area. Additionally, Tahoe Donner is home to three restaurants open year round; The Lodge Restaurant & Pub, Alder Creek Café, and Pizza on the Hill.

Tahoe Donner operates several member-only facilities. The Trout Creek Recreational Center includes a weight room, cardio room, fitness classes, recreation pool, adult lap pool, steam room, spas, massage program, personal training and more. Members enjoy the Tahoe Donner Tennis Center during the summer and the Beach Club Marina located on Donner Lake.
