Child Group Lessons
Swim lessons are over for the season. Thanks for a great summer!
Group swim lessons are 30 minutes long, and each session runs Monday through Friday for one week. To provide consistent, high-quality swim lessons, participants are required to attend the first lesson of any session for which they are enrolled. All participants must be registered at least one week prior to the class start date. A minimum enrollment of three participants per session is required. Classes may be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. We ask that a parent or guardian remain on the pool deck for the duration of the lesson.

Group Swim Lesson Levels
Level 0: Guppies (Parent/Tot) – 11:30AM-12PM – Prerequisite: None
Children ages 6 months to 3 years will spend time in the water with both their parent and a trained instructor. Adults will be taught to help children learn water adjustment as well as the use of supported floats and kicks. Songs and games help the instruction and keep things fun. This is a water exploration experience for both parent and child.
Level 1: Bubble Blowers – 11:30AM-12PM – Prerequisite: Age 2+
Children age 2 and older can adjust to the water and a swim lesson setting. Instructors focus on introducing the following skills: water entries and exits, bubble blowing, underwater exploration, kicking, arm movements, body position and supported locomotion.
Level 2: Starfish – 10:45-11:15AM – Prerequisite: Level 1
Instructors will build on prior water abilities, focusing on the basic skills of floating, gliding, retrieving underwater objects and unsupported swimming (front and back).
Level 3: Duckies – 10-10:30AM – Prerequisite: Level 2
Students at this level will learn the front crawl and elementary backstroke. Instructors will introduce treading water, diving, and rhythmic breathing and promote water safety. Most skills will be performed independently.
Level 4: Seals – 9:15-9:45AM – Prerequisite: Level 3
Students will work on their endurance during the front and back crawl strokes. They will be introduced to breaststroke, new ways of treading water and rotary breathing.
Level 5: Dolphins – 8:30-9AM – Prerequisite: Level 4
Students will work on improving existing skills while increasing endurance. They will be introduced to the butterfly stroke and open turns.
Daily drop-ins are not permitted for group lessons. You may choose to attend only some of the five lessons in each session, but the full registration cost will be due. Children are required to attend the first lesson of any session for which they are enrolled.
Cancellations, Changes and Refunds
All cancellations and/or changes must be made 14 days prior to the first day of the session for which you are registered, and a processing fee of $12 will be charged. No changes will be made or refunds given less than 14 days prior to the first day of the session for which you are registered.
