Please be advised that I am opposed to both the $380 increase for the 2020 member assessment recently proposed by the Finance Committee to construct a new ski lodge, as well as the $70 increase proposed by staff for the yearly Recreation Amenity Pass. The latter increase raises the cost from $290-$360, an increase of 24%. No rationale or justification for raising this pass price has been provided. All other comparable price increases are proposed for day use fees formember use of TD public and private amenities. The $380 proposed increase in the member assessment is more than 19% higher than the 2019 assessment. The board has not made a decision whether to renovate or replace current ski lodge, nor what size new facility is needed.
