The Equestrian Center will re-open for summer 2013 on Saturday, June 15
Come explore the Sierra Nevada mountains by horseback. View forests and high mountain meadows filled with wildflowers. Catch a glimpse of the local wildlife; a deer with her young, a bear hunting for grubs or a hawk circling in the sky.
Bring your toddler out for a pony ride. Join us at a Saturday night BBQ and indulge in a customized gourmet burger while you watch the kids play dress up, roast marshmallows and take a swing at the piñata.
Tahoe Donner Equestrian Center rides, boarding and events are open to the public. We offer a fun selection of services and activities for our guests including:
- Equestrian day camps (back for 2013 by popular demand!)
- Trail rides
- Pony rides
- Private lessons
- Boarding
- Saturday Night BBQ’s and other special events
- Bits and Pieces tack and souvenir shop
Operating season and hours:
Saturday, June 15 – Monday, September 2, 2013 (Conditions permitting).
Trail Rides: Thursday – Monday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., last ride leaves at 3 p.m.
Boarding: Open daily from Saturday, June 1, 2013 through Monday, September 30, 2013 (Conditions permitting).
Equestrian Camps: Back for 2013! See dates and details here. Reservations begin Thursday, March 14, 2013 for Tahoe Donner members.
Reservations/cancellations
Reservations are required for all rides. The reservation office opens on June 1. We do not accept reservations or cancellations by email. There is a 24- to 72-hour cancellation policy depending on the type of ride or event. Questions? Call (530) 587-9470 or send us an email for more information.
