Recycling + Green Waste Updates

NOTE: Questions about cart delivery or service should be directed to Tahoe Truckee Sierra Disposal  at (530) 583-7800 Monday through Friday between 8:30AM and 4:30PM.

A key part of enjoying this mountain community is properly disposing of your trash, recycling and yard/green waste. Trash must be put into an animal-resistant garbage can enclosure or brought to the curb on Tuesday for pick-up.

For more information on trash and recycling and to opt-in to services, visit keeptruckeegreen.org.

GREEN WASTE DUMPSTERS AVAILABLE IN TAHOE DONNER

Town of Truckee 30-Yard Green Waste Only Dumpster

The Town of Truckee Green Waste Rolling Cart Tuesday service ended for the winter season.  Resident servicing for green carts will pick back up next spring, typically the start of May. As there is no snow in the forecast and we are experiencing a late leaf drop, the Town of Truckee is offering a green waste dumpster at Northwoods Clubhouse for the next couple of weeks. No exact end date has been identified, however, if snow pops into the forecast the dumpster will be removed. Tahoe Donner agreed to host the 30-yard green waste dumpster to continue efforts for defensible space at members’ properties. The green waste dumpster is for residential use only, not commercial use. No mixed solid waste (recycling, trash/food) is allowed.
