Policies
Welcome to the Tahoe Donner Campground! We’re happy you’re here and look forward to having you as our guest. These policies are designed to ensure a safe, enjoyable and respectful experience for everyone, and by entering the campground you agree to comply with the following rules and all posted regulations.
RESERVATIONS
- All reservations must be made online through Newbook, the campground’s official reservation platform.
- All fees are due at the time of reservation.
- All reservations are subject to a $7 non-refundable reservation fee.
- All modifications to existing reservations through Newbook are subject to a $7 non-refundable modification fee.
- Reservations are limited to a maximum stay of 28 consecutive days.
- Discounted nightly rates are available to Tahoe Donner Members and Registered Guests of members.
- Any applicable rate adjustment will be issued at check-in, upon request and verification of active membership or registered guest status by the campground manager.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT
- Check-in: 2PM
- Check-out: 11AM
- Campground office hours are 9AM to 7PM.
- Guests arriving after 7PM on their reservation start date must notify the campground manager in advance at campground@tahoedonner.com or (530) 587-9462.
- Upon check-out, guests must leave the campsite clean and undamaged with all trash removed, all personal items cleared, and all site furnishings returned to their original condition. Failure to comply may result in cleaning or damage fees.
CANCELLATIONS + NO-SHOWS
- Reservations may be cancelled online through Newbook.
- All cancellations are subject to a minimum $7 cancellation fee.
- Additional refunds are issued according to the following schedule:
- 7 or more days prior to arrival: Full refund minus $7 cancellation fee
- 2–6 days prior to arrival: Full refund minus $7 cancellation fee and first night’s charges
- 1 day prior to arrival, same-day cancellation, or no-show: No refund
- Reservations are held until 9AM the day after the reservation start date.
- Guests who have not arrived or contacted the campground by that time will be considered a no-show.
- No-show reservations will be cancelled and released for rebooking.
- While cancellations made less than one day prior are not refundable, guests are encouraged to cancel prior to the reservation start time to avoid a no-show and make the site available to other guests.
QUIET HOURS
- Quiet hours are 10PM to 7AM.
- During quiet hours, amplified sound, loud music, generators, and excessive noise are prohibited.
- Vehicle movement should be minimized during quiet hours.
CAMPSITES + OCCUPANCY
- Maximum occupancy per campsite is 6 people, unless otherwise posted.
- One recreational vehicle per RV site, or up to two tents per tent site, unless approved by management.
VEHICLES + PARKING
- Two vehicles per campsite are permitted and included in the nightly rate.
- Additional vehicles, if space allows, are subject to a $5 per vehicle per night fee.
- Parking is allowed only in designated areas.
- Speed limit within the campground is 5 MPH.
FIRES + FIRE SAFETY
- Wood and charcoal fires are not permitted.
- Fire restrictions may be updated at any time due to weather or wildfire conditions.
SMOKING + SUBSTANCES
- Tahoe Donner is a non-smoking resort.
- Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all areas of the campground.
- Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.
- Excessive alcohol consumption or public intoxication is not permitted.
PETS
- Up to two dogs per campsite are allowed for an additional fee of $5 per dog per night.
- Dogs must be leashed at all times and may never be left unattended.
- Owners must clean up after pets immediately.
- Aggressive or disruptive animals may require removal.
CHILDREN
- Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult after dark.
- Recreational areas are used at the guest’s own risk.
WILDLIFE + ENVIRONMENT
- Feeding wildlife is strictly prohibited.
- Food and scented items must be properly stored.
- Do not disturb wildlife or remove natural features.
- Trash must be disposed of in designated receptacles only.
WASTE + SANITATION
- Trash and recycling must be disposed of properly.
- Dumping gray water or sewage on the ground is prohibited. Use only designated dump station.
LIABILITY + ENFORCEMENT
- Guests camp at their own risk.
- Management is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
- Violation of campground policies may result in eviction without refund.
- Management reserves the right to modify policies at any time.
