CAN WE BORROW GOLF CLUBS?

The Tahoe Donner Golf Course has sets of golf clubs for brand-new golfers during private lessons and clinics. For all other programs, golf clubs are required. If you would like to borrow a set, please get in touch with the Pro Shop a day in advance with your golfer’s height and handedness.

DO YOU TAKE KIDS YOUNGER THAN AGE 7?

For the best fit for kids younger than age 7, contact an instructor to schedule a private lesson. If he or she has had lessons before and the instructor approves, they may be eligible to enroll in a clinic or camp. Contact the Pro Shop for more details.

DO YOU CANCEL PROGRAMS DUE TO THE WEATHER/SMOKE?

Golfers will play rain or shine, so long as the temperature is above 50 and there is no thunder or lightning. As for the smoke, staff will cancel if the AQI is above 150 (unhealthy).

CAN PARENTS AND GUARDIANS WATCH DURING JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAMS?

Yes, staff allow spectators. We ask that you stay at a healthy distance, for your own safety and for the growth and development of your child.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE FOR KIDS?

Kids should wear a collared shirt and shorts/pants/skorts with pockets.

WHAT IS THE PROGRESSION FOR JUNIOR GOLFERS?

We recommend starting with a junior golf lesson and/or clinic. After participating in a few of these, kids may join one of our junior golf camps. The next step is to join our Tahoe Donner PGA Jr. League Home Team, which is for junior golfers who are new to the golf course. This group plays on the course every Thursday throughout the summer. After a season or two on the Home Team, players will be eligible for our Travel Team, which competes against other local courses on Mondays and practices on Thursdays.
