THE GIVING FUND

SHOWING OUR COMMUNITY TAHOE DONNER CARES

RESPONSE TO COVID-19

Our hearts are with those who are affected by the rapidly spreading coronavirus: those who no longer have jobs, businesses that no longer have customers, and families who are supporting their loved ones.

For over five years the Giving Fund’s grants to local non-profits have helped to increase their capacity and put them in a stronger position to deal with today’s challenges.  We pledge to continue to invest in these critical community organizations as they ramp up to meet the enormous needs of our neighbors within the greater Truckee area.

We are in this together.  We encourage you to consider supporting the Giving Fund or the Tahoe Truckee Community Fund’s Emergency Relief Fund in order to ensure that services are available to Truckee residents whose lives are affected in serious ways by the COVID-19 pandemic.

THE GIVING FUND

The Tahoe Donner Giving Fund was created in 2014 by the Tahoe Donner Association board to pool gifts from homeowners to support the good work of local non-profits and provide deserving graduating high school students with scholarships to advance their educations. Each year, working through the Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation, we provide funding to help those in need, support our youth, protect special places, and make our lives better.

Founding Partner
We are very grateful to Jaime Waltman Legere of Waltman Construction for her support from the inception of the Giving Fund – and now to Jaime and Matt Warren through their combined company, Elements Mountain Co.  Annually they contribute over $5,000, which covers all our operating expenses thus making 100% of your contributions available for grants and scholarships.

Thank you.
