The Tahoe Donner Giving Fund was created in 2014 by the Tahoe Donner Association board to pool gifts from homeowners to support the good work of local non-profits and provide deserving graduating high school students with scholarships to advance their education. Each year, working through the Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation, we provide funding to help those in need, support our youth, protect special places, and make our lives better.
LET’S GIVE TOGETHER
As we look ahead to 2023, we know the challenges will increase for local students who depend on scholarships to continue their post-high school education, and local nonprofit organizations who depend on grants to fund their important work.
Your donation – in whatever amount you can contribute – will make a world of difference in the coming year. Your gift, together with the gifts of other Tahoe Donner neighbors, will make 2023 a better year for many in our local community.
As Tahoe Donner homeowner and Giving Fund Committee volunteer Toni Moore says, “I give simply because it is the right thing to do. Just think about the incredible impact Tahoe Donner would have on the Truckee community if every property owner gave $100 a year to support students and local non-profits.”
If all 6,000 Tahoe Donner homeowners each gave $100, we could help local scholarship students and nonprofit organizations with $600,000 of services and support.
Whether you can give $100 – or more, or less – please give! Every donation helps.
We are very grateful to Jaime Waltman Legere of Waltman Construction for her support from the inception of the Giving Fund – and now to Jaime and Matt Warren through their combined company, Elements Mountain Co. Annually they contribute over $4,000, which covers all our operating expenses thus making 100% of your contributions available for grants and scholarships.
Thank you.
The Giving Fund operates as an affiliate fund of the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation (TTCF) who holds the 501(c)3. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law; donors receive a tax receipt for this purpose.
