Guided rides last between 1.5 and 2 hours, and are available daily. Route choice is based on the fitness and skill level of the group. We will explore the trails at Tahoe Donner while providing tips along the way. ($25 per person, 10AM or 1PM, Reservations required 48 hours in advance.)

Tahoe Donner offers a variety of specialty camps and clinics. Required equipment for all specialty clinics include a good, operating mountain bike that shifts gears, helmet, gloves, camelback/water bottles, and eye protection. Bike and helmet rentals are available if needed. All other items are available in our retail store.
New this year! MTB Core Fundamentals for Men + Women
This one-day mountain bike clinic is appropriate for new to experienced riders looking to step up their performance and skill set. We will cover bike set-up, balance, braking, gear selection, body position, cornering, switch backs and more. This clinic will provide you with a solid foundation of skills to get you going on your bike, build your confidence and improve your skill set. This clinic is progression-based skill building. Meaning, that there are progressions for each skill, so each level of rider can progress and challenge within their own ability. Bring plenty of water, snack and sunscreen.

FUN-damental Mountain Biking Series for Kids
Is your child interested in mountain biking? Our certified mountain biking instructors will teach the fundamentals of mountain biking. Kids will learn skills and gain confidence as they go through mountain biking skills progressions including body and pedal position, shifting, braking, climbing, descending, and navigating minor obstacles on the trail. We will also talk about trail etiquette and safety while out riding the trails. Bring plenty of water, snack and sunscreen.

All of our mountain bike guides are first aid certified, friendly and fun! In addition, all coaches in our Specialty Series events are certified mountain bike instructors.
Women’s Basic Bike Maintenance
Join Tahoe Donner Bike Works Instructors for a Women’s only basic bike maintenance clinic. Routine bike maintenance keeps you riding smoothly and prolongs the life of your bike. Join us for this introductory class to help you take care of your bike!

Women’s Introduction to Mountain Biking
Join Tahoe Donner Bike Works Instructors for a weekend of mountain biking!
Part 1: You will learn the basics of mountain biking in a women’s only environment. They will teach you the basic techniques including shifting, braking, ascending & descending and maneuvering around obstacles. We’ll also go over important communication skills and mountain biking trail etiquette with the aim of keeping multi-use trails open and safe for everyone. Don’t worry there will be plenty of time out on the trails riding and practicing these new skills. Bring plenty of water, snack and sunscreen.
Part 2: Allow for the ultimate progression. Day two of the Women’s Intro to Mountain Biking Clinic will review the fundamental skills from day 1 and then progress you all the way to advanced level skills so that you walk away with a thorough understanding of what you are capable of on the bike. Today will involve more trail riding, helping you dial in your technique, more time to session tricky parts of the trails and find your flow! Bring plenty of water, snack and sunscreen.

A private two-hour lesson with one of our IMBA-certified instructors will help you find your flow, improve your trail speed and build upon your current mountain biking skills. Riders should bring water, a spare tube, a pump and tools to change a flat tire. Reservations are required 48 hours in advance.

All of our mountain bike staff are trained instructors, First Aid certified, friendly and fun! In addition, all coaches in our Skills Clinics and Specialty Series events are IMBA-certified instructors.
