Annie Rosenfeld BioANNIE ROSENFELD, General Manager
Annie Rosenfeld joined the Tahoe Donner team in 2003 and is our friendly and welcoming General Manager.

Annie earned her undergrad degree with a double major in English/linguistics and Anthropology and master’s degree in education from the University of Nevada-Reno. She first joined Tahoe Donner in 2003 overseeing the programming and management of the Trout Creek Recreation Center. From there, her career trajectory has continued to make our association the best it can be. Annie has a broad and strong background in recreation and risk management, recreation and park districts, multiple Tahoe ski areas and professional swimming and coaching.

She is a dedicated mom, wife, athlete and community volunteer who constantly works to find time for everyone and everything. You can often find Annie and her family enjoying the Tahoe Donner trails on her personal time.
Miguel Sloane Director BioMIGUEL SLOANE, Director of Operations
With a helping hand and a smile at the ready, Miguel Sloane, director of operations, is the behind-the-scenes man for almost every Tahoe Donner event and amenity.

After graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles, he landed in Truckee and found a home to rent in Tahoe Donner. Hired on in 1994, he is one of the association’s longest-serving employees. He has held numerous jobs at Tahoe Donner, including cashier, rental fitter, sailing instructor, ski mechanic, assistant marina manager, rental shop manager, marina manager, rental and retail shop manager, ski area manager, amenity manager and maintenance worker.

Miguel resides in Reno, Nevada with his three children. When he’s not hanging out with his kids, Miguel can be found surfing on the water, biking on the trails and skate skiing at the Cross Country Ski Center.
Lindsay Hogan Director BioLINDSAY HOGAN, Director of Communications + Member Relations
With a smile and an infectious attitude, Lindsay Hogan joined in 2017 temporarily between marketing directors but quickly earned a permanent role on the team.

After earning an undergraduate degree in Public Relations and a master’s degree in Organizational Communication from Washington State University, Hogan continued to work there until 2010. Moving to Colorado, she led the communications for Vail Valley Medical Center, worked on the Eagle County Public Information Officer team and was FEMA trained in crisis communication and incident command. Moving to Truckee in 2014, she ran her own marketing company until joining Tahoe Donner.

Outside of work, she is passionate about the outdoors and has raced in a variety of marathon and ultramarathon races. You can find Lindsay with her husband, her daughter and her pug riding around the streets of Tahoe Donner on their electric commuter bikes.
Jon Mitchell Director BioJON MITCHELL, Director of Capital Projects
Jon Mitchell and his wealth of knowledge joined the Tahoe Donner team in 2019 as the director of capital projects. With a background in public works projects in the Truckee-Tahoe area, Jon knows the ins and outs of all things Tahoe Donner.

Mitchell earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. As a registered Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in California, Mitchell was most recently an associate engineer for Placer County Public Works in Kings Beach, California. Since joining the TD team, he has finalized Tahoe Donner projects including a gym expansion, golf course improvement and nature trail restoration.

Jon has lived in Tahoe Donner since 2006 with his wife and two daughters. You can often find him and the girls mountain biking or skiing the Tahoe Donner trail system.
Miah Cottrell Director BioMIAH COTTRELL, Director of Information Technology
When your computer goes on the fritz, you'll want to call on Miah Cottrell, director of information technology (IT).

Originally from Redding, California and part of a large Italian family, Cottrell's interest in computers dates back to grade school when he was given his first Mac Classic. He worked at a local computer shop as a teenager fixing computers and realized he never wanted to do anything else. He was hired in 2001 as a help desk technician and quickly worked his way up the ranks, becoming IT manager in 2012 and IT director in 2017.

When he’s not in front of a screen, Miah enjoys traveling the world as far and as often as he can in addition to enjoying Star Trek marathons with his family.
Steve Turner Director BioSTEVE TURNER, Director of Food + Beverage
Steve Turner started making Tahoe Donner delicious as the director of food and beverage in 2020. Turner brings nearly 30 years of executive culinary experience and oversees Tahoe Donner’s restaurant offerings.

After graduating from San Diego State University, Turner entered the restaurant business with his father as co-owners and operators of three restaurants in Southern California. In 1993, Turner began a long career as director of F+B at several area ski resorts. Recently, Turner served as senior director of F+B for Caesars Entertainment Lake Tahoe where he successfully opened Lake Tahoe’s first celebrity restaurant, Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen.

Steve and his wife Lorraine are long-time Tahoe locals. During the shoulder seasons, they love to travel to Napa and Sonoma for wine tasting and dining experiences.
John Groom BioJOHN GROOM, Director of Land Management + Open Space
With a background in recreation and trail management, wilderness management and public service, we are excited to have John’s history and expertise to help improve our association.

Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in outdoor and adventure education from Prescott College, John implemented wildland fire and wilderness management through the U.S. Forest Service beginning in 1999. From 2006-11, he worked for the Payette National Forest managing an avalanche forecasting center, and starting in 2015, he oversaw public service for the Truckee and Sierraville Ranger District in the Tahoe National Forest. From 2011-14, John and his family lived in Korea and Japan.

When he isn’t working, John has two boys that keep him busy, and he loves to bike and backcountry ski.
