Downhill Ski Resort Grand Opening Celebration

Celebrate the grand opening of the Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Resort with a special weekend featuring skiing, live music, tastings and on-mountain experiences in conjunction with Members Ski Free Day on January 23 and Skier Safety Day on January 24.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 23
Kick off the weekend with Members Ski Free Day, inviting members with a valid Member ID Card to enjoy a complimentary day on the slopes at Downhill Ski Resort or trails at TDXC, while also exploring the brand-new lodge and resort amenities. Both ski areas are also open to the public on Members Ski Free Day, and everyone is welcome to join the festivities, including live music by Duo Dinamico, free wine tasting, drink specials, a festive swag table and guided lodge tours available for on-site sign-up. Expect a few surprise-and-delight moments throughout the afternoon.
10AM-2PM: Guided lodge tours
2-4PM: Complimentary Honig Vineyard & Winery wine tastings
2-5PM: Live Music

SATURDAY, JANUARY 24
Saturday highlights Skier Safety Day, focused on on-mountain safety education and activities to help everyone ski and ride responsibly. The day also features live music (2-5PM), swag giveaways and additional surprises as the festivities continue.

The Ski Lodge building, including the kitchen and bar, will close at 2:30PM on Thursday, January 22, for a private party. Please plan ahead.
