Trout Creek Recreation Pool:

Trout Creek Renovation to Start Sept. 12

After months of detailed planning efforts by Tahoe Donner staff and the General Plan Committee, our Tahoe Donner board of directors recently approved funding for a remodel of the Trout Creek Recreation Center, circa 1993. The project scope includes a fall 2016 remodel of the sauna, steam room, and poolside locker rooms, including updated finishes and fixtures throughout, with improved ADA accessibility and upgrades to all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The remodel is scheduled to begin Monday, Sept. 12. Please note the recreation pool, covered spa, sauna/steam room and poolside locker rooms will be closed during the remodel. The lap pool and gym side locker rooms will remain open as currently scheduled. Additional updates will be provided in weekly emails.

Trout Creek Lap Pool

Trout Creek Recreation Center’s adult lap pool is heated to 80 degrees and is open year-round. Please review the new lap swim testing policy for minors.

Lap Pool Hours: 6 a.m. – 10 p.m., daily

Note: Recreation and family swim hours are available in the first lane of the lap pool from 3 – 7 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on weekends through Memorial Day weekend 2016.

During the summer months, the lap pool is reserved for lap swim only and the lap pool deck is designated as a quiet area during the season that the Recreation Pool is open.
1. “Lap Swim” is defined by the ability to repetitively complete at least one length of the pool without assistance.
2. If it becomes necessary to share lanes with other swimmers, please choose a lane with swimmers that most closely reflect your pace. Joining a lane is by agreement of swimmers occupying that lane.
3. When two or more swimmers occupy a lane, swimmers may opt to split lanes. Circle swimming is required whenever three or more swimmers occupy the same lane.
4. Slower swimmers should keep to the outer lanes and faster swimmers to the middle lane.
