The wait is almost over for the much-anticipated unveiling of Downhill Ski Resort’s all-new ski lodge. As construction winds down and the resort prepares to open its doors for another great season, here’s a sneak peek at what to get excited for when the resort opens on Dec. 19:
Exterior
New loading/unloading zone for parking lot shuttles with service to the lodge’s main entrance. The main entrance offers easy and direct access to the check-in and welcome desks, as well as the rental and retail spaces.
A wide-open exterior staircase allows passholders to head straight to lifts, or for all guests to conveniently exit with gear in hand at the end of the day.
An enhanced sun deck provides the perfect après-ski spot, featuring sweeping views of the ski runs, hydronic pavers for a safe walking surface and level access to the lifts.

Interior
A spacious main entrance welcomes you upon arrival, with a large service desk for checkins and other needs, and direct access to rental and retail spaces.

New elevators and a skier-friendly staircase provide access to the upper floors for dining services, the sun deck and lifts.

New restrooms are appointed with modern motion sensor fixtures to conserve water.
A new equipment rental area provides an efficient flow of services for equipment, as well as pay-per-use lockers.
A new retail space offers the latest in ski and snowboard outerwear and accessories.
A dedicated kids’ ski school flex-space with its own dining room, lunch service, restrooms and cubbies, for the best all-day ski and ride experience.
Dining
The enhanced dining area offers panoramic mountain views, ample indoor seating – including community dining tables – an open servery for ordering food, a cozy new bar area with a fireplace, and direct access to the sun deck and lifts. Dining at the Lodge will feature an all-new menu and full bar service.

Other Upgrades
Skip the lines with Express Ticket Pickup Boxes! These automated ticketing machines offer a quick and easy redemption process for lift tickets purchased in advance online. Simply scan the barcode from your email confirmation (either a printed copy or straight from your phone) and receive an RFID card with your pass loaded for lift access. Once you have your pass, attach it to your jacket or pants with provided zip ties for easy scanning at the lifts.
NOTE: Express Ticket Pickup Boxes are for advanced lift ticket purchases only. Tickets can be purchased on the day of at the service desk located in the main entrance. Additionally, any non-ticket items, such as rentals and lessons, must be redeemed at the ticket counter.
