Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski Center Opening Day
Friday, Nov. 29 | 9AM at Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski Center* (Conditions permitting)
Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski Center (TDXC) plans to fire up the snowmaking system as soon as the weather allows this year with the goal of prime early-season conditions. Gather your gear, bring your friends and join us as we usher in a winter wonderland like no other at TDXC.

Ski season passes for 2024/25 are still on sale; day passes, lessons and rental reservations will be available in mid-November! Passholders enjoy additional benefits, including dining and retail discounts, free ski days at partner resorts, access to season-long rentals and lockers and more all winter long!

New Year’s Eve Guided Snowshoe Tour
Tuesday, Dec. 31 | 5:30-8PM at Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski Center
Spend New Year’s Eve under the stars with a guided snowshoe tour at the Cross Country Ski Center. Groups depart from the Alder Creek Adventure Center; equipment is available for ages 13+. Space is limited. Reservations open in mid-November.

Mondays + Wednesdays | 11:30AM-12:15PM at Trout Creek Recreation Center
Get ready for winter adventures with this dynamic class designed to boost your strength, endurance and balance for skiing. Focus on lower body, core and agility exercises to prepare you for those Sierra powder days and keep you injury-free on the slopes!

Every Friday in December | 6PM at Northwoods Clubhouse
On Friday evenings, eat, drink and be merry with free and family-friendly holiday movies! There will be free coloring books for your little elves, plus a special surprise for those who show up early! Ring in the new year with live music at Alder Creek Adventure Center’s all-ages, family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration! Enjoy a festive menu, a great selection of beer and wine, and s’mores kits for the kids. The Times Square countdown will be streamed live on the big screen, with the big countdown taking place at 9PM (midnight EST).
