Tahoe Donner Trails + Property Update

The U.S. Forest Service has closed all National Forests in California due to unprecedented wildfire danger. See Tahoe National Forest Emergency Closure Order.

Currently land owned by Tahoe Donner is open to non-motorized recreation. Be aware that sections of the Donner Lake Rim Trail and Mustang Sally Trails cross through U.S. Forest Service property. See Tahoe Donner Trail Map for details on these trails and other trails where Tahoe Donner property adjoins U.S. Forest Service land.

Tahoe Donner remains in communication with the U.S. Forest Service and local fire and public service agencies, and will provide updates as conditions change. This page will be updated as we receive more information.

The trails are busy this summer. Please do your part in helping protect our land and community.

• Follow pack-in/pack-out protocols
• Reduce your speed on trails
• Share trails with ALL user groups including hikers, bikers and equestrian
• Yield to uphill traffic
• Stay out of wetland meadows
• Obey all trail closures
