Initial operations are expected to include Snowbird and Conveyor 2 (Magic Carpet), providing early-season terrain for guests to enjoy. Eagle Rock will open as soon as conditions allow with additional snowfall.
- We invite you to join us on Christmas Day, Thursday, Dec. 25, to explore the brand-new ski lodge. Enjoy a special visit from Santa Claus from 1-5PM. Grab food and drinks while you experience the space before the season officially gets underway.
- Popular Truckee musician, Eric Daniel, will be strumming hits from the 80s, 90s and 2000s in the afternoons from 2-5PM at Downhill Ski Lodge Dec. 26-30. Enjoy covers from classic rock icons with special guests while enjoying ski lodge dining and drinks.

This year, Downhill Ski Resort is thrilled to kick off the 2025/26 season on Dec. 19 (conditions permitting) with the reopening of its brand-new lodge, featuring a host of thoughtfully considered amenities in a sleek, modern building. Guests can enjoy enhancements like level access to the lifts, an expansive and well-appointed sun deck – perfect for après ski – a spacious indoor bar and dining area with panoramic views of the mountain, Pick-Up Box kiosks to print pre-purchased tickets quickly and conveniently, a dedicated kids’ ski school and lesson flex-space with its own dining hall, bathrooms, cubbies, lunch service and much more.
