Horsemanship Camps
HORSEMANSHIP CAMPS ARE CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. THANKS FOR A GREAT SUMMER!
Riders ages 8-14 learn the fundamentals of horsemanship, safety and riding skills at our full-day, weeklong riding camps. Level 1 and Level 2 camps are available each session. The curriculum includes lessons in horsemanship, horse + human connection, grooming, tacking, arena lessons, groundwork, trail riding, games and a horse show on Friday.
Weather Warning
If we experience summer thunderstorms and are unable to ride, students will have lessons in horse and tack care, shoeing horses, veterinary care and other horsemanship knowledge.
LEVEL 1
Beginners with little or no riding experience will learn the basics of horsemanship, horse handling, grooming, tacking up, groundwork, and riding on the walk and trot.
LEVEL 2
This camp is our most popular and covers the widest range of riding abilities. Intended for beginner riders with some experience and confidence, it is suited to evolving abilities. Students generally take Level 2 multiple times, and the instructions are suited to their evolving abilities. Campers will focus on enhancing their horsemanship knowledge, groundwork, horse connection, and riding skills.
