Big changes are coming in 2026 that make enjoying Tahoe Donner’s private amenities easier than ever. Starting in 2026, payment of your Annual Assessment includes up to four Member ID Cards per property. Members will no longer need to pay a daily access fee or worry about paying a separate annual Rec Fee. These cards are your key to private amenities, member-exclusive pricing and special benefits all year long.
WHAT’S CHANGING IN 2026?
Here’s what you need to know about your Member ID Card starting January 1, 2026:
One Fee, Full Private Amenity Access: The annual Rec Fee and daily access fees for members are eliminated. Your Annual Assessment payment now includes access to all private amenities.
Four Member ID Cards Included: The 2026 Assessment covers up to four Member ID Cards per property for qualifying individuals with access to private amenities included.
More Member Cards Available: Properties can purchase up to six additional Member ID Cards for qualified family members for $175/card for access to private amenities. Children ages 3+ count toward your property’s card allotment, but no additional fee is required.
Verification Required: Any changes or updates to the Member ID Cardholders on your account will require verification of the entire property’s familial relationships. Learn More.
Short-Term Tenant Changes: STR tenants must continue using Short-Term Tenant Cards to access private amenities, with blackout dates now in effect during all peak holiday periods*. Learn More.
As of November 15, 2025, you can pay your annual assessment and purchase additional member cards on the Tahoe Donner Payment Portal. Learn More.
To update or purchase additional cards, call Member Services at (530) 587-9400 (credit card processing fees apply).
KEEPING YOUR MEMBER ID CARD VALID Remember: By December 31, 2027, all Member ID Cards must be verified with documentation to confirm eligibility. Only property owners can add or change members on an account.
Verification ensures that only property owners and their qualifying immediate family members receive Member ID Cards. Qualifying relationships include spouse/domestic partner, parents, children, siblings and more. See all eligible relationships here.
