ALDER CREEK CAFE OFFERINGS
The menu this season combines fresh and exciting summer cravings in addition to the staples you know and love. Your favorite go-to meals that are back include:

For a lunch you don’t want to miss, the new Asian-style chopped salad includes freshly chopped romaine lettuce, Napa cabbage, red cabbage, carrots and red peppers. Tossed in an enticing housemade miso ginger dressing, this salad is topped to perfection with peanuts, green onions, toasted sesame seeds and cilantro. If the description isn’t tantalizing enough, Chef David Smith gives this dish two thumbs up.

CAFE CULTURE
Alder Creek Cafe stands as more than a place to eat – it’s a place to connect. Even in a time of social distancing, it’s the sort of place a trail runner can pass by and wave hello to a friend on the deck. Here, the food is as welcoming as the friendly faces. Smith says,

“I like to think of Alder Creek Cafe as a gathering place for our community. It has a neighborhood ‘Cheers’ feel to it while embodying much of what we love about TD and the area. The access to trails right outside the door is top-notch. Whether it be mountain biking, hiking or cross country skiing, the access to terrain is incredible.”

Smith adds, “During my time at Alder Creek Cafe, Tahoe Donner has let me cook the type of food and cuisine that I enjoy. The use of fresh, high-quality ingredients translates into the fresh and healthy style of food that we like to make. Also, the ability to create a dinner series like Edi-Bōl allows me to play with the flavors I enjoy as a chef and, in turn, let our community experience them too.”

EDI-BŌL IS EDI-BACK
The Edi-Bōl series is back at Alder Creek Cafe Thursdays from 5-8PM with new and unique takes on delicious staples. Classic meals have been tastefully recreated to fit a one-bowl meal, creating a fresh flavor with the dishes you know and love. If you haven’t yet experienced Edi-Bōl, it’s about time you did.

Chef David Smith, creator of all things good at Alder Creek Cafe, shares, “It’s exciting to put a twist on a different dish each week, to figure out how to deconstruct that item and rebuild it into a bowl so that it eats and has a similar feel to the original idea. It also is a great way to showcase a lot of the flavors that are exciting for me as a chef.”

A limited menu will be offered in addition to each week’s featured bowl, including delicious burgers, salads, grilled cheeses and chicken tenders. For more information on Edi-Bōl, see below or visit tahoedonner.com/edi-bol.
