Association News

UPDATE: DECEMBER 19

A pole on the transmission line that feeds Truckee Donner Public Utility District’s (TDPUD) Donner Lake Substation sustained significant damage during the recent storm. The necessary repairs require that the transmission line be de-energized to perform the work. Unfortunately, TDPUD must shut off power for a short time to all residents served by Donner Lake Substation so that this work can be performed safely. TDPUD and Roseville Electric crews will perform this work, estimated to take about three hours, on Sunday, December 19, from 2:00PM to 5:00PM.

The areas that will be affected by this outage include all neighborhoods around the Donner Lake area. In addition, Donner Lake Substation also serves the neighborhood areas on the west side of Tahoe Donner. The affected areas of Tahoe Donner include:

  • Northwoods Blvd. from Hillside Drive to Christie Lane;
  • All streets that connect to this section of Northwoods Blvd;
  • Alder Creek Road in its entirety;
  • All streets that connect to Alder Creek Road;

TAHOE DONNER AMENITIES AFFECTED

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM TDPUD
For customers currently without power and a secondary source of heat, freezing pipes become a concern. It is recommended you shut off water to your house, winterize the area and seek alternate shelter if needed. Check the TDPUD website for more information and updates.
