June 17 – 21: Recreation boot camp
Are you looking for a job in the Recreation field? If so, the Tahoe Donner Recreation Boot Camp is the place you need to be. This course will give you the skills needed to guide and instruct all levels of participants in the most popular recreation activities in our industry. Your training will include learning to guide hiking excursions, Class II white water rafting techniques, and a beginner-level bouldering and rock climbing excursion. Candidates will also receive theory and practical training in working with children, teens and adults. Upon completion of this course, participants who meet the course requirements will receive a course completion certificate, the American Red Cross certificate in CPR/AED and Wilderness First Aid. Boot Camp certification or other equivalent qualifications are required for all Recreation staff. Must be at least 14 years old.
