School may be around the corner, but adventure can still be had at Tahoe Donner this summer! Soak up those last rays and make memories to last all school year long with the Best of Tahoe Donner: Back to School Edition.

BEST MORNING WORKOUTS

Break a sweat early in the morning to set the day up for success. Before the kids wake for a day of fun, slip away to the Trout Creek Rec Center for a quick workout at the newly renovated Gym or Lap Pool. No reservations are required, so come when it fits your schedule. To take advantage of the cool morning air, get your workout outdoors at the Tennis Center. The largest tennis area in Tahoe boasts tennis courts, pickleball courts, lessons, clinics, a pro shop and rentals. The Rec Center and Tennis Center are both private amenities and are free for members who have paid their Recreation Fee.

BEST TRAIL ADVENTURES

Nothing compares to the sweet smells, vibrant wildflowers, unforgettable overlooks and expansive meadows of the Tahoe Donner trail system. Explore even more when you rent the whole family quality bikes from Bikeworks. Bikes, trailers for the kids and gear from the retail shop will have everyone pedaling like a pro in no time. Bike rentals start at just $15 an hour, so adventure has never been more affordable.

BONUS FUN FOR THE LITTLE ONES:
If you have a 2–6-year-old looking for an adventure all their own, sign them up for a pony ride! Pony rides are available every Saturday and Sunday through September 26. Parents must be present.

BEST TIME ON THE GREENS

Golden summer evenings on fresh golf greens make for one of the most beautiful views to witness at Tahoe Donner. For cooler air and more affordable greens fees, playing nine holes after 4PM is only $40 for members. For an even better deal, last light rates are only $30 for members, and juniors can accompany an adult at last light for free. For aspiring golf pros, private lessons are available daily for all skill levels. Get the kids together to take a swing at Tahoe’s most recently renovated golf course!

BEST STOP FOR FAMILY FUN

If you can only make one stop in a day, make sure the Recreation Hut is it. Through September 6, enjoy free lawn games, disc golf and more. To get even more out of your summer finale, take on a new sport with a weekend archery lesson (just $15 for members!) or a geocaching adventure with $10 GPS rentals for the day. Located at Northwoods Clubhouse, bocce ball courts and sand volleyball can keep you going for hours! A playground for the little rascals can be found as well.

BEST WATER FUN

End summer with a splash! Whether you want time at the pool or the marina, cool options for hot days are a great choice for all ages.

For poolside fun, kids can let their imaginations soar at the Recreation and Kiddie Pools at the Trout Creek Recreation Center. For even more fun (and a waterslide!), the Northwoods Pool offers a place for serious water thrills.

For sun, sand and beautiful views of Donner Lake, the Beach Club Marina is your place to be. To elevate your experience, sign up for a boat rental starting at just $20. The kids will love cruising on top of the water! No reservations are required for the marina, and a shuttle running from the Truckee High School parking lot makes getting there easier than ever.

When hunger calls, the food and beverage options at Tahoe Donner are ready! If you’re playing at the Trout Creek Rec Center, the Marco Polo Grill offers grab-and-go food, a full bar and drinks for the adults.

At the marina, don’t miss a beat when you take advantage of the burgers, sandwiches, salads, candy and frozen cocktails to cool you down and fill you up! For adults, specials like Margarita Mondays and weekend TD Punch Happy Hours make life even sweeter.
