PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ALDER CREEK ADVENTURE CENTER AREA IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION, AND PARKING MAY BE LIMITED. PLEASE PARK ON ALDER CREEK ROAD IF PARKING LOT SPACES ARE NOT AVAILABLE, AND FOLLOW SIGNAGE DIRECTIONS WHEN POSTED. THANK YOU!


Saddle up and smile for pony rides offered each weekend this summer. Located at Alder Creek Adventure Center, the Equestrian Center is open to members, guests and the public and also offers daily, weekly and monthly boarding.

HOURS (AIR QUALITY AND CONDITIONS PERMITTING):
Horse Boarding: June 1-Oct. 16
Pony Rides: June 18-Sept. 25, Saturday-Sunday | 9AM-3PM
Semi-Private Trail Rides: Select days from Aug. 29-Oct. 7

Trails Notice June 7, 2022 | As part of the XC Snowmaking project this summer, trail construction is currently taking place at Alder Creek Adventure Center. Pony Express, Northfork, Lower Rough Rider and Night Hawk are all closed until the project is completed. Please be mindful of construction zones and keep out. Learn more and see zone map.


When enjoying Tahoe Donner Equestrian Center, please observe the following:

  • Walk your bikes when on Equestrian Grounds.
  • Please do not feed any of the horses, as it can make them sick. Nuts, bread, lettuce and other snacks for humans are not healthy for horses.
  • Equestrian Center is not a park or playground. Do not leave children unattended at any time.
