Fireworks Are Prohibited in Tahoe Donner and Nevada Country

While many parts of California allow the use of personal fireworks on July 4, the possession, lighting, shooting, holding, etc. of any type of fireworks is prohibited in Tahoe Donner on private lots, common areas or other association-owned properties at any time. As noted by the Nevada County Consolidated Fire District, “Fireworks including those classified as safe and sane are illegal to possess or use in all areas of Nevada County.” Be safe, enjoy the public fireworks displays and help prevent wildfires.
