Trout Creek Trail to Reopen for Summer

A continuation of work done last fall, the Truckee Donner Public Utility District (TDPUD) will resume work on the Pioneer Trail Pipeline and Pump Station, which will require the temporary closure of the Trout Creek Trail. However, to be mindful of the community’s use of the trail and have the least impact during peak periods, the trail will close from approximately May 30-June 30, then reopen for the July 4 weekend and remain open through Labor Day. It will then close again until work is completed in the fall. This project will improve TDPUD’s capacity and resiliency in providing potable water and fire hydrant flow into Tahoe Donner. Four fire hydrants will also be added to the Trout Creek Trail area. See the map below for more info.
