Free Event! Meet and Greet
Staff and horses will be on hand to welcome you to the 2013 summer season. Join us for complimentary hot dogs, cold drinks, s’mores, games and prizes.
Enter the drawing to win a trail or pony ride and collect your favorite horse’s trading cards. Say hello to your old equine friends and meet some new ones.

Trail and Pony Rides Begin
Tahoe Donner’s experienced wranglers and trail-wise horses will take guests on a ride through high mountain forests and upland meadows or down into the lush Euer Valley full of wildflowers, grazing cattle and icy cold mountain streams. These are scenic walking rides (with a little trotting) in Western saddles and are offered at regularly scheduled times. 30-minute pony rides are also offered. Reservations are required.

Cowgirls and Cocktails Ride
On select Fridays, cowgirls are invited to gather for an early evening trail ride followed by beer, wine and appetizers on the deck at the Tahoe Donner Equestrian Center. (Cowboys welcome too!) Enjoy a meandering trail ride through highland meadows and forests and then relax on our deck overlooking another beautiful meadow, nibbling on appetizers and sipping a frosty beer or glass of wine. It’s a great way to kick off the weekend! Trail ride from 5 to 6 p.m. followed by drinks and appetizer from 6 to 7 p.m. This event is for adults ages 21 and up. $65 per person, Tahoe Donner residents $55.

Saturday Night BBQs
This Saturday night BBQ is a family favorite and sure to delight the young and young-at-heart. Attendees will arrive for a fun evening of wagon rides, games, crafts and a hearty outdoor dinner. Play a round of horseshoes or try your hand throwing a rope at the roping station.
Bring your camera and get pictures of the family at the old west/renaissance photo stand and dress-up station. The kids can make an ornament or decorate a bandana at the arts and crafts table.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite you’ll enjoy a dinner of flame cooked hotdogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers along with a wide selection of toppings. A variety of cheeses, bacon, chili, pineapple, avocados, sautéed mushrooms, sauerkraut and more are available to personalize your burger or dog. Baked beans, salad, watermelon, fruit pies and of course campfire S’mores will round out the menu. Complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks are included.
Afterwards the kids can take a swing at the piñata and then join in a treasure hunt for the golden horseshoe. A family water balloon toss finishes off the evening.
Some BBQs may have a special theme such as Mexican Fiesta Night and Renaissance Night. These themed BBQs will have special entertainment, crafts and menus. Watch this site for further details!
Reservations are required. There is a 72-hour cancellation policy.
