National Trails Day Guided Hike

Celebrate our trails with a guided hike featuring the new 640 acre Crabtree Canyon property and special access into Carpenter Valley, a beautiful area just north of Tahoe Donner that the Truckee Donner Land Trust is working to protect. Guides from the Land Trust and the Donner Party Mountain Runners will detail the valley’s story, natural attractions, and recreational opportunities. All ages and hiking abilities are welcome. Meet at the Alder Creek Adventure Center and ride a shuttle to hiking point just beyond Euer Valley. The beginning of the hike starts with a intermediately steep fire road and then levels off to meander in the Crabtree Canyon towards Carpenter Valley. Return from the tour includes climbing the intermediately steep fire road to the shuttle pick up. Bring plenty of water, and don’t forget to wear sunscreen and hiking footwear. Event is weather permitting.
