Tahoe Donner Association 2018 Board Director Election Candidate Statement
I would like your vote to serve as a volunteer in our homeowners association on the Tahoe Donner Board of Directors. Maintaining a sense of community in our homeowners association is very important. I’m excited and motivated to learn more about the work of this voluntary Board of Directors and to contribute to the Tahoe Donner Community.
As a member of the TD homeowners association since 1990 I have experienced part time residence, where the weekends are ultimately important and each short experience has to work to meet your needs for affordability and accessibility. Now as a full time resident maintaining the quiet and pleasant surroundings of our beautiful mountain retreat is equally important.
My background provides qualifications for this position. I graduated from UC Berkeley in 1978 and worked in many positions in the Bay Area. Retiring in 2014 as a Quality Manager I worked to encourage every part of the organization to support the tenants of our quality system. I was involved in qualifying companies for certification to quality standards including ISO 9001 , AS 9100 and ISO 13485. I conducted audits to review our compliance to the requirements and was involved in bids for new business as well as budgetary issues.
If you want a new perspective on your board with an adherence to the governing principals and covenants, I can manage that for you. But my primary concern is maintaining our outdoor environment and the quality of Tahoe Donner’s mountain community living.
