Fourth of July Holiday Fun for Everyone

Whether you’re in Tahoe Donner or exploring the Truckee community and Donner Lake this Fourth of July, there is much to do this Independence Day holiday week! Celebrate starting this weekend with one or more of the following events and activities.

MAKE A SPLASH AT THE BEACH CLUB MARINA 
The Beach Club Marina on Donner Lake has a private beach, clear water and endless activities, including kayak, SUP and boat rentals. Beach access is available first-come, first-served.

CELEBRATE RED, WHITE AND BLUE ON THE GREEN
Newly reopened after $2 million in renovations covering all new greens, redesigned tees and more, the 18-hole championship Tahoe Donner Golf Course offers a great mountain golf experience for all skill levels. Take advantage of $30 specialty clinics, as well as private lessons to help you up-level your game. Rates for an 18-hole round of golf are $75 for members and $135 for the public starting at 2PM.

HIT THE TRAILS OR TAKE A CRUISE 
Tahoe Donner Bikeworks, located at the Alder Creek Adventure Center, is open daily for bike rentals, guided rides, lessons and repairs. It’s conveniently located at the center of Tahoe Donner’s trail system offering more than 60 miles of singletrack, doubletrack and fire roads. From full-suspension mountain bikes and road bikes to trailers for the little ones, there’s something for the entire family, so strap on your helmet and start exploring!

GET YOUR HEART RATE UP WHILE THE KIDS SWIM
Members and guests can enjoy the newly renovated Trout Creek Recreation Center equipped with a gym, cardio room, exercise classes and multiple pools and hot tubs. To provide a more enjoyable experience during the busy holiday, online reservations through shop.tahoedonner.com will be required for the Recreation Pool from July 1-10 between 10:15AM-5PM. Each reservation will be for 120 minutes, with the last time slot at 2:45PM. After 5PM, access will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that only two time slots will be available on July 2 and 3, as the Rec Center will close at 3PM these days for the Summer Concert on the Green.

MARGARITA MADNESS PRO EXHIBITION + SOL SISTER SHOW | JULY 2
Join us at the tennis courts on July 2 at 3PM for the Margarita Madness Pro Exhibition. Sit back, sip on a margarita and watch the pros battle it out on the court. Make sure to stop by the Sol Sister booth to get all the gear you need for a perfect game. Available to Tahoe Donner members and their guests.

TRUCKEE JULY 4TH PARADE | JULY 4
Join the community for the return of the Independence Day Parade. It’s a Truckee tradition and fun for the whole family and community. The parade kicks off with fire trucks sounding their horns, police cars and their sirens, big rig trucks, classic cars, horses, local nonprofits and organization floats, marching bands and more! The parade launches onto Donner Pass Road at the Firehouse located next to Truckee High School ball fields and heads east along Donner Pass Road and then left onto Bridge Street, ending at Bridge and Church Street.

BEACH CLUB MARINA FUN WITH FIREWORKS |  JULY 4
Enjoy the day at Tahoe Donner’s Beach Club Marina and stick around to watch the fireworks. Tahoe Donner will be providing a complimentary shuttle service to the beach from the Truckee High School parking lots starting at 11PM for Tahoe Donner members and guests. The shuttles will make continuous loops until 11PM.
